2019 Sculpture Faculty, Counselor, & TA/Social Media Intern Positions

Oxbow Summer Art Camp was founded in 2004 for rising 9th-12 graders. The camp features high-level professional art instruction using an interdisciplinary approach consisting of short-term projects, a personal final project, field trips, and co-curricular activities.

As a residential program, staff members are involved with the students throughout the entire day, both inside and outside the studios. Staff members must be willing to make a full-time commitment to the students during the course of the camp and accept the demands this will place on their time and attention. All staff reside on campus mid-June through early August. These are paid positions and room and board is provided. The exceptions to is the teaching assistant intern who may live locally and be available minimum of 5 hours per day. These interns positions include stipends and meals will be provided. *Please note that the minimum age requirement for a staff position is 20, and 19 for interns.

Preference will be given to applicants who meet the following:

• You are passionate about art!
• You enjoy working with teens and have prior teaching or leadership experience in a school or camp setting.
• You are able to make a full-time commitment to the program and bring a high level of participation to camp for the duration of the program.
• You have a college degree in art, youth development, or teaching, and/or have a career in the arts.
• You thrive in intense environments, are conscientious, willing to work hard, and are committed to the safety, well-being, and growth of each member of the camp community.
