Greg Levitt

Math Tutor

If you are reading this bio, I imagine you are considering keeping up with your math studies while at The Oxbow School. I'd like to do what I can to help you on the way. This year I will offer routine scheduled support to students studying: Algebra II, Integrated Mathematics III, Geometry, and Statistics. My goal during each meeting will be to tailor instruction to your strengths and learning style, this might look like: working through example puzzles together, discussing material covered to deepen understanding, or finding relationships between the topic and one of your interests. When it comes to my education and experience, I earned a Bachelors of Science in Physics from UGA and jumped straight into teaching. I have spent over a decade tutoring and teaching with three of those years spent at the same school you'll be enjoying this semester. During my three years at Oxbow, I was part of the Residential Life Team, partnered with our Life Sciences Teacher to offer STEAM (a course highlighting the art of scientific pursuit and design), and tutored students as they kept up with their typical math track. I left Oxbow in 2019 to start my journey towards becoming a licensed counselor. Currently, I am living in the other Bay Area (Tampa), and earning my Master's in Social Work.
