Char O’Dair Gadler is an artist and writer from New Jersey. An alumnus of OS26, Char received their BA in Visual Arts & Literature from Bennington College in 2017. Their artistic practice is research based and concerned with the social life of cultural artifacts including second hand ceramic figurines, stand-up comedy specials, and Boys Love manga, among other things. They have worked for Franklin Furnace Archive Inc.,The Baltimore Museum of Art, and the Hamm Archives at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. In 2020, Char has been working for the Montclair Film Festival & at a business that makes creative science kits for kids. They are excited to return for their third summer at Oxbow as a teaching fellow and in the new role of Community Art Coordinator!
