Lucy grew up in Brooklyn, New York and was introduced to Oxbow in her junior year of high school (OS33). Oxbow showed Lucy what it means to be an artist and pursue a rigorous art-making practice for herself. She is honored and excited to return to work with younger students to help them see the possibilities in themselves and nurture their creative growth. Lucy is a rising senior at the Rhode Island School of Design studying furniture design and sustainability. She fosters a hands-on based making practice focused on what it means to occupy a body, using both jewelry and furniture to explore scale in relation to the body and seeks to create work that brings people together through connection, commonality and physical contact.
