Printmaking Faculty
Pia Sazani is an artist, writer, and teacher working in Los Angeles. Through poetry, performance, and drawing, she makes science fiction about religion and the environment. Words are very exciting to her: visually, aurally, and as historical objects that can be cracked open and unfolded into expanses of new meanings. She is currently finishing a teaching fellowship at the California Institute of the Arts.

I learned to drop all previous assumptions I had about people because I had never met anyone like the other students at Oxbow. For the first time, my peers and their insightful thinking inspired me.
